Speaker 1:

This is episode 55 of the Business of being Dad, the podcast dedicated to help single fathers build amazing relationships with their kids without having to sacrifice their career or dreams in the process. I just want to say welcome and thank you for being here Over these past couple of months. We have been having a lot of guest interviews and I have been honored to just have some amazing men join us on this program. It's been so good to hear their stories and learn from their unique experiences and, on a personal note, I've just really enjoyed having these men join us, and I hope you have too. But for today, I wanted to jump in and share a little about what I've been doing and some of the things that I've been working on over the past couple of months.

Speaker 1:

At the time of this recording, I am just finishing up an amazing month-long vacation to Puerto Rico with my family. This is something that I've started doing over the past several years where, as my kids get older, I try to kind of set aside this time to just hang out and to just be there for my kids and to be there for my family, and it's really become something special that we have just really enjoyed. And I just want to start by saying I am so thankful that I have been able to build this into my life and build this into my kind of lifestyle. But here's the thing this also represents what I value and what my family values, and that is experiences over possessions. I mean, don't get me wrong, I have a nice house, I have good vehicles and I'm thankful for everything that I have. But I have really over the years learned that what really fuels me and what really energizes me as a man and as a father is to do things with my family and to just kind of share these adventures and this life together.

Speaker 1:

And so this yearly vacation has just kind of become a piece of that and you know I've shared with you guys over the last several months that you know my family has gone through some rough times in the past and my girls lost their mom when they were much younger. And you know we've had a lot that we've had to kind of overcome as a family. And there was a period where that was really kind of the center of my life, meaning it was my absolute top priority and I've never apologized for that. But now, as my family's in a really good place, a really healthy place, my top priority has become kind of myself and really pursuing the things that interest me and, in particular, building my business and serving other men, helping other single fathers, and I'm thankful that my family's in a place where I'm able to do that. But my kids will always be a top priority to me and this vacation that I take every year kind of represents that. You know, dedicating this large block of time, even now as in this different stage of life, to connect and to strengthen and to prioritize my daughters. But also for me, this was a working vacation and I'm excited to share what's coming up in the near future for you, my audience of single dads.

Speaker 1:

So, as most of you know, I created this podcast, this community and really what has become kind of this movement to help single fathers build amazing, life-changing relationships with their kids and to do that without having to give up their career or their dreams in the process. I am passionate about this. I share that exact statement at the beginning of each of my podcast episodes and that sentiment can kind of be seen in virtually every social media post I put out there, every newsletter or every time I'm interviewed as a guest on another show. That is my mission, that is why my business exists and, as I've discovered, that mission really resonates with a lot of single dads. You guys want amazing relationships, but you also want a successful career and you also want to hold onto your dreams and your ambition. You don't want to feel like you have to choose one or the other.

Speaker 1:

Over the years I have had countless conversations with other fathers, and especially single fathers, that go something like this man, rob, I hate always feeling like I'm put in a position of having to choose between my family and my career. Or when I became a single dad, I felt like I had to give up who I was and what I wanted out of my life in order to be there for my kids. Or maybe I want to fix my relationships with my kids, but nothing I'm trying seems to work. Or even sometimes they might say I just have no idea where to start. And another common thing that I hear is how can I possibly do everything on my own? There just isn't enough time. And here's the thing, the honest truth. Every time I hear those words, I literally feel the pain of the men I'm speaking with, because I know exactly how they feel.

Speaker 1:

That was my story too. I felt completely ill-equipped to organize, to manage and to function really and just to function in life as a single dad. And when I was in that place, I looked around and could not find any resources to help me figure it all out. There was, and there still is, a lack of support out there for single fathers, and that is why I've stepped into this place. And this is what has led me to create what I've been working on for the past couple of months a movement called the Thriving Dad.

Speaker 1:

The Thriving Dad was built for single fathers who want it all. The Thriving Dad is the solution for single fathers who desire connection, impact and peace of mind. Now I know you have probably been bombarded with ads from coaches or gurus or courses that promise you the world but leave you kind of questioning the integrity of the men who are sharing this with you. I hope that you're able to see that I'm different. I started the Thriving Dad to create a community of single fathers who refuse to let life's challenges hold them back, and in the Thriving Dad, I provide you with practical strategies, with mindset shifts and actionable steps that are tailored to your unique situation. As the Thriving Dad, you will build stronger connections with your children and find balance between your work, your family and personal life, without having to feel guilty or overwhelmed. As a thriving dad, you will become confident. As a single father, you'll be empowered to face life's ups and downs, with intention, ensuring that you're always available for your family when they need you most.

Speaker 1:

I believe in keeping life simple and that by simplifying what we do and how we do it, we can actually amplify the results we achieve. In other words, we should simplify to amplify, and the thriving dad knows how to maximize his results by keeping it simple and easy. So you might be thinking at this point well, rob, you're saying a lot of words, but what is the thriving dad? The thriving dad is my proprietary A to Z solution for single fathers ready to improve their connection, impact and peace of mind for life. It is my belief that you deserve to have amazing relationships with your kids without feeling like you have to sacrifice your career, give up your dreams or even lose yourself in the process. So I eliminate confusion by showing you how to connect the dots between crushing it in your career, your family and your personal life, so that you can achieve your full potential. And here's the thing we all want Become the father your family deserves.

Speaker 1:

So if you decide to join the Thriving Dad community, here's what you'll get you will get a one-on-one private father and leadership coach me. You will get a one-on-one private father and leadership coach me. You will get a custom goal and habit tracking guide. You will receive routine check-ins and checkpoints as often as daily, depending on what it is that you want and desire. You will be part of a private member community of other single fathers like yourself who are chasing after the same things. There will be free monthly workshops. And the two biggest perks of the Thriving Dad is that you will receive unlimited one-on-one coaching calls for the duration of the program and you will receive a private DM thread of unlimited messages directly with me. So both the coaching calls and the DM thread is direct access to me as your single father coach to walk through this journey with you, to be your sort of on-demand coach that's there when you need me. So let's talk about how we do it.

Speaker 1:

There are three main pillars within the Thriving Dad. The first pillar is the legacy blueprint. I see this as being like the base of the program. During this step, I will help you achieve connection, impact and peace of mind as a single father. The legacy blueprint helps you go from feeling disconnected and having a lack of confidence as a single dad to being confident and connected with your kids. I will make it so that you never feel disconnected or uncertain in any aspect of your life. The second pillar is the time mastery matrix. The second pillar is the time mastery matrix. During this step, I will help eliminate the confusion and overthinking by teaching and showing you how to prioritize, maintain balance and improve based on your goals and lifestyle. The time mastery matrix helps you go from feeling like there's never enough time to do everything to knowing that you always have enough time for the most important things. Seeing results in this area will be as easy as following the GPS in your car. And the third pillar is the triple win formula. In this step, I help you find balance by achieving the triple win. The triple win formula is designed to help you succeed at work, crush it at home and win at life. With me as your personal coach and a program that is customized in every facet, we will tackle your family dynamics, personal growth and career integration to make sure that you win for the long haul.

Speaker 1:

So again, to summarize up to this point, the Thriving Dad is the solution for single fathers who desire connection, impact and peace of mind. It is a community of single fathers who refuse to let life's challenges hold them back. Within the Thriving Dad, you will build stronger connections with your children and find balance between your work, family and personal life. You will become confident as a single father, empowered to face life's ups and downs with intention, knowing that you are always there for your family when they need you most. And within the Thriving Dad, we will keep these steps simple and easy in order to help you amplify your results. You will receive a variety of tools and resources and support and will receive the highest level of direct access to me that I offer in any of my programs, and that includes unlimited coaching calls and unlimited private messaging directly with me. We will follow a three-step process which includes the Legacy Blueprint, time Mastery Matrix and the Triple Win Formula.

Speaker 1:

Those are the key aspects of the program, but if you're anything like me, you probably have some questions, and so I'm just going to review some of the most common questions I get asked at this point. Number one will I have enough time to do this? The average client will spend two to three hours a week on this program, but the beauty of it lies in its flexibility. Some clients might thrive by dedicating 30 minutes to an hour every day, while others prefer to spend maybe an hour a couple times a week, and some spend even less. It all depends on your goals and your lifestyle, but at the end of the day, it comes down to what your priorities are and then being disciplined enough to make, set and follow through with the plan you outlined for yourself. If you are committed to doing the work, then I will do everything in my power to help you succeed.

Speaker 1:

Another common question I get asked is what qualifications do you have? What makes you different? I have received my Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governor University. I am a full-focus certified pro, which allows me to provide research-based productivity and leadership training to support my clients, and it gives me access to a wide range of proprietary tools and exercises that I can use with my members. In addition, on a personal level, I am a single father of five daughters who lost their mom tragically about six years ago. Since then, I have been raising my daughters on my own, while still managing to have a fulfilling and well-balanced life, and here's the thing I am teaching you the same process that I followed. That's allowed me to do that, so now I help other men find their own success by following the same proven, full-focus methodology that I use personally every day, and that same methodology that has been used to help thousands of clients around the world. I only teach research-backed methods that I have personally used and seem to be effective firsthand.

Speaker 1:

So another common question I get asked is have you worked with anyone like me before? Maybe my situation's unique. Every situation is unique. I can say that I have worked with a diverse group of individuals, which has included single fathers, stepfathers, remarried fathers, married fathers. I've worked with healthcare workers, executives and more. Today, I specialize in supporting single fathers who seek to strengthen their connection with their children, in supporting single fathers who seek to strengthen their connection with their children, increase their impact as fathers and achieve greater peace of mind in the process. So whether you're working through parenting challenges or trying to balance work and personal life, I can provide you with a customized strategy to meet your unique needs. Wherever you are, I will meet you there and provide you with direction, support and accountability to help you reach your goals.

Speaker 1:

Another very common question I get asked is will I be able to afford this? So let me start off by saying I am not going to be asking you for the equivalent of like a down payment on a house or a car. I've worked with people who have expendable income and are able to pay this easily, and I have also worked with those who scrape together any dollar they have in order to make the investment in themselves. At the end of the day, it comes down to what you personally value. I don't like getting into the details of other people's finances, but I will say this I think it's important for all of us to take a look at what we're currently spending our money on, because that reflects our values. A lot of us are spending our money on things like streaming services, clothes, shoes, tattoos, coffee, eating out, bars and so on, and I'm not going to attack you for how you're spending your money there is absolutely no judgment here but I do think it's important to consider what you value. Take a look at the things that I mentioned versus investing in your connection, impact and peace of mind. If you really just don't have the money, I totally get it, but if it's a matter of what you value more and things like connection, impact and peace of mind aren't on your list, no problem. We all have our own priorities, but I do want to make it clear that I only want to work with people who are ready to make themselves and their family a priority.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes I get asked why don't you have a guarantee? And I will say in this industry, there are a variety of opinions on how to treat this. I have found that in a world of outrageous promises, it does not serve me well to offer my clients a guarantee. Why? Because if you hold up your end of the deal and do the work, you will get results. It's that simple. I will do whatever it takes on my end to make sure you're getting what you need and what you want out of this program, but no program will work if you don't.

Speaker 1:

Another common question I get asked is how long does a program last? What happens when it's over? So the average length of time that it takes an individual to go through the program is 12 weeks, but it is 100% customized to you and your specific situation. During our time together, I want you to learn and grow using the methods and philosophies that I share with you, and I believe that maintaining open communication with me and following the steps we outline will help you achieve amazing results. You're going to learn new methods and you're going to add new tools to your toolbox, that's for sure. And then, at the end of eight weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, however long it takes you to work through the program, you have the option to take what you've learned and continue on your own, or we can continue to work together.

Speaker 1:

I don't believe in building or encouraging a dependency model. Often 12-week clients turn into long-term clients because they like me and they want my ongoing support, not because they need me. And then I just want to give a final thought on why I believe that cheap programs don't work. I've joined cheap programs, I've been a part of them and I had thought about trying to offer that in order to make it more accessible to everyone, but I stopped because the attrition rate is through the roof In order to offer a really inexpensive program. There's no coach, there's no accountability, there's no customization, the teaching, there's no adjustments and people simply fall off the wagon. A good coaching program has a real person behind it to provide accountability and adjustments in order to meet your specific goals and lifestyle. I have shared everything that you receive in the program and my commitment to you. That is what my clients are paying for. And one final thought on that without personalized support issues that come up in your life which are inevitable, things like, maybe, a change in your career or a change in your parenting plan or a health issue. Those types of situations can derail your progress, but by working together on a one-on-one basis, this allows for real-time adjustments and continuous improvement, ensuring that you achieve lasting results and that I'm there for you to help you through the process.

Speaker 1:

If you're hearing all this and you're interested and you're thinking, yes, rob, I want this, this is for me or maybe you know what I want to know a little bit more about this. I'm intrigued. Your first step in reaching your goals is to have a one-on-one call with me to discuss those goals and what I need to include in a custom strategy to help you get amazing results. I will be sure to include a link in the show notes. During this session, I'll find out more about you. I'll discuss with you how my program works and determine if I'd be a good fit. If, at the end of that call, I feel that I can help you, you would be moving into the next step, which is enrolling in the Thriving Dad. This will not be some cheap $35 a month membership, so please be prepared for that, but I will teach you how to plan, how to build and how to maintain effective strategies for balancing work, family and personal growth, tailored to your unique circumstances and goals, so that you can do this for life. Making progress over a 12-week period is great, but I want to set you up to be successful forever. My goal is that, after working with me, you should never need another parenting coach or program again.

Speaker 1:

Before we wrap up today, I just want to put this out there. What I teach flat out works, and I say this with humility and confidence. This isn't hype or fluff. I can be confident that this works because it has been proven to work for thousands of clients over time. When you join me, you are making an investment in yourself. I am simply here to guide you through that same process that has worked for me and thousands of other clients. It doesn't matter what your background is or how much success or failure you've had in the past, while nothing in life is guaranteed. The Thriving Dad was created to make it virtually impossible not to achieve your goals, and I would love the honor to help you get there.

Speaker 1:

Over the years, many of us have bought into the lies that society has told us.

Speaker 1:

As single dads, we've been told that we aren't important in the lives of our kids. We've been told that a mom's role is more valuable than ours as a dad. We've been told that it's impossible to be a great dad and still have a successful career or a thriving personal life. I just want to be clear that these are lies and it's time that we stop believing them. It's time for us to take back our lives. It's time for us to be there for our kids and it's time for us to become the thriving dad that our families deserve.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for joining us for the Business of being Dad podcast. If you found value in today's episode, I encourage you to share it with a friend who could benefit from our discussions on fatherhood, leadership and legacy. Together, let's build a community of like-minded men who embrace ownership, commit to growth and make an impact. And now, before we go, remember greatness is within your reach, so stay strong, stay focused and create your legacy. I'm Rob Brody and you've been listening to the Business of being Dad, where fatherhood meets success. See you in the next episode.
